Paintings by Marie Hines Cowan / MAC
"Musings: The Beginning of an Epic" an exhibit of works by Marie Hines Cowan, examines moder interpretations of mythological subjects and stories. Ms. Cowan's paintings - bold, colorful, painterly, but also graphic and illustrative - reflect her belief that "mythology is a melting pot, like New York" and re-imagine classic characters from Greek myths as "everyday people of New York." Artist’s reception Saturday, March 10th from 4 to 7 pm; join us for refreshments and the opportunity to meet artist Marie Hines Cowan and hear her discuss her work. Free and open to the public.
